With the holidays quickly approaching, the economy in a spiral, Christmas cards or e-mails to write plus all of the daily worries that make up our lives to contend with, it’s no wonder that a lot of us are feeling the stress. But take it from Dr. Oz...the new medical guru in the United States…it’s not the stress, it’s our response to it. Listen to what he has to say:
Dr. Mehmet Oz is vice-chair and professor of surgery at Columbia University. He got his start in the media with Oprah Winfrey who chose him to animate shows devoted to health issues. He became a big hit and went on to help people with his own show and Blog. In addition to his public service, he currently directs the Cardiovascular Institute and Complementary Medicine Program at NewYork–Presbyterian Hospital. His research interests include heart replacement surgery, minimally invasive cardiac surgery, complementary medicine and healthcare policy. He has authored more than 400 original publications, book chapters and medical books and has received several patents.
So…let’s follow Dr. Oz’s advice and put our worries aside and allow ourselves to get into the holiday mood! Remember…anticipation is half the pleasure! And the other half is being with those we love and cherish!
