V. This week we’re going to talk about internet “piracy” and the idea of an “open internet”. To introduce this subject, I would like you to listen to Leo Laporte, a high-tech expert who hosts a radio talk show on KFI radio in Los Angeles. As usual we’re going to work with “authentic” English which has not been “doctored” or changed to make it easier to understand. Listen to the following extract (2 minutes) from Leo’s talk show in which he expresses his revolt against laws which could reduce people’s freedom on the internet. There is an exercise on my web site (Internet Issues) to test your detailed comprehension. Good luck!

Now watch the video which lasts 12 minutes about internet piracy and take notes.
